Join EcoFocus and the State Botanical Garden of Georgia on Thursday, April 7th for a screening of the film FRESH. Arrive at 6:30 pm to enjoy a pre-movie reception with beverages, local appetizers, and live music. FRESH celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are re-inventing our food system. Each has witnessed the rapid transformation of our agriculture into an industrial model, and confronted the consequences: food contamination, environmental pollution, depletion of natural resources, and morbid obesity. Forging healthier, sustainable alternatives, they offer a practical vision for a future of our food and our planet.

The event will be held at the Callaway Building Auditorium at the State Botanical Garden in Athens. Tickets are $8 for Botanical Garden Members, $10 for non-members. This film is appropriate (and very inspirational) for older children (10 and up). There is very limited footage portrying animals in indisturial agriculture settings.
